Peran Dan Fungsi OBH Paham Riau Sebagai Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Untuk Membantu Masyarakat Kurang Mampu Dalam Memperoleh Keadilan

One form of protection of human rights is providing legal aid. Regulations related to the provision of legal aid are regulated in Law No. 16/2011 on Legal Aid. The rationale for the issuance of this Law is that the state is responsible for providing legal aid for underprivileged people as a manifestation of access to justice. According to this Law, legal aid is a legal service provided by legal aid providers free of charge to legal aid recipients. Therefore, the presence of legal aid institutions in Indonesia, including in Riau, can realize the provision of free legal aid to underprivileged people. One of the legal aid organizations in Riau is OBH Paham Riau which functions to help solve legal problems for underprivileged people both in litigation and non-litigation.
